Jools - Hull City Footballer
Jools plays football for Hull City and wanted to learn to run more efficiently as he was experiencing a number of injuries. Following 6 weeks of run technique sessions, Jools progressed to the 12 weeks Speed Course and has now maxed out my treadmill :-)

This is Hull City Footballer Daisy's FINAL videos from her very first session through to completion of the 6 week Run Technique Course and finally on completion of the 12 week Speed Course. She has done AMAZING!
There's a bit of an over stride creeping in at the faster pace but she had done cross country that day (and SMASHED her PB), so it's probably just a bit of fatigue but something we'll be looking more at when I see her for a Top Up Session in 8 weeks time.
Speed takes approximately 8-12 weeks to develop and over these last 3 weeks, Daisy has really started to pick up her pace and her Dad say's it is now reflecting in her football :-) HAPPY COACH!

Lottie - York City Footballer
Lottie is a 12 year old footballer who plays for York City RTC. She came to see me at the Running Hub with hip and knee pain and to also work on improving her speed over short distances and on change of direction.
Lottie is a really talented footballer and is one of the most competitive youngsters I've worked with. You can see the improvements she has made over 6 sessions. I'm sure you'll agree that she's made significant progress and I look forward to seeing how Lottie progresses with her football!

She's since knocked 44 seconds off her 1500m PB time and placed third on the podium in her recent triathlon.
She's a determined young girl and has put lots of effort into improving. She's been a pleasure to coach.

Sarah - Before & After 10 coaching sessions
Sarah first came to see me a year ago with a severe groin strain on the right side - you can see from the video on the left that she was struggling to run. She came back to me again this year with a groin strain on her left side. I'm pleased to say that she is now INJURY FREE - zero groin pain! Sarah has also managed to achieve PB's in all her events, 10km - 3 minutes 15 seconds, 10 miles - 8 minutes 42 seconds, HM - 15 minutes 39 seconds!"
Anna - Ultra Runner
Ultra runner Anna first came to see me in March 2022 for a Full Run Technique Coaching Day - she had broken her ankle 8 months previously and it had dramatically affected her running technique. She was also experiencing shin pain at the start of her runs. She came back to see me in Nov 2022 and again on Monday (Oct 2023) for a review. The after videos in this video were taken Monday - she has improved beyond my expectations!

Liz - Before & After 10 Run Technique Coaching Sessions
When Liz first came to the Hub, she was struggling with a stiff left calf and right ITB pain. Liz did no mobility, flexibility or strength work. Liz put 100% effort into her run technique practice and integrated regular and consistent strength and mobility work and the results have been incredible. She runs pain free and looks better and stronger every time I see her run. Well done Liz.
Lily, age 15 - Footballer
Lily is 15 years old and plays football. She came to me to improve her run technique and speed on the football pitch. You can see a huge improvement in both her technique and speed and her coach has noticed a big difference when she's playing 🙂 I'm SUPER proud of her! WELL DONE Lily!

Emma - Before & After 6 Coaching Sessions
I’ve worked with Rachael on and off for a couple of years and I feel I have benefitted massively from the combination of run technique analysis and coaching and strength sessions. I’ve been taking part in a virtual race series recently, and as well as my times for the four virtual 10k events I have done all under 43 minutes (which is more occasions than I’ve run that sort of time in actual races), in the last event I ran 42:19 to knock almost 10 seconds off my 18-month old 10k PB! To do this when ‘racing’ alone is (I think!) a great testament to the huge benefits I’ve received in the last few months.

I've gained so much from attending sessions with the Running Hub. Rachael has so much knowledge to give. After my initial analysis, I learnt the leg cycle which made me feel stronger and more confident in my running. One change that particularly stood out was when Rachael taught me to stand tall running up hills, not to lean into them. The first time I tried this it felt amazing. I felt so much stronger and felt like I wanted to run the hill again!
